Once upon a time, there was a fairy called Glitter. She lived in a tree. In the night there was a hooting sound. It woke Glitter up. She got out of bed and climbed down the tree. She went down the road and found a fox.
"Are you the one who made the hooting sound and woke me up," she asked.
"No," replied the fox. "I am a fox. I don't make hooting sounds."
Glitter walked on and found another fairy. Glitter said to the fairy, "What is your name?"
"My name is Polly."
"Can you help me find what made the hooting sound?" said Glitter.
"Yes," said Polly. "Let's go."
They went on and on. Half an hour later, they found a goat.
"Are you the one who made the hooting sound and woke me up?" Glitter asked.
"No," replied the goat. "I'm a goat. I don't make hooting sounds."
They walked on and found a rabbit.
"Are you the one who made the hooting sound and woke me up?" asked Glitter.
"No," said the rabbit. "I'm a rabbit. I don't make hooting sounds."
Glitter and Polly walked on and found an owl.
"Are you the one who made the hooting sound and woke me up?" asked Glitter.
"Yes," said the owl, "and it's too late to go back to bed now."
